The Flylady way

Being a stay at home Mum I think I might spend just a little bit too much time on the internet. I love browsing sites and finding competitions or handy tips. One of my latest finds has been Flylady. Now, Flylady is designed to help those who live in absolute chaos and share their homes with years of clutter. By no means is my home like this but the routines and fun challenges that Flylady sets are great motivation to get me off my backside, away from the computer and actually cleaning. It has become a little game for me to see how quickly I can get all of my morning routine done, the daily missions and also my decluttering. Every night before I go to bed I shine my sink so the first thing I see in the morning is a nice clean kitchen. Such a wonderful feeling!

I thought my home was pretty clean. But then when you look closely you notice the cupboard that nobody wants to open for fear of being crushed to death by the avalanche of 'stuff', the small pile of magazines that you have read but not thrown out, the cobwebs on the front verandah, the grubby kiddy prints on the walls and don't even get me started on my craft/computer desk. Following the Flylady routines has meant I have finally tackled these problems. Best part about it? Once I have done all my housework for the day I have permission to sit on my backside and surf the internet to my hearts content - guilt free! How good is that?!

So do yourself a favour and check her out... the site is pretty ugly but she has a great sense of humour and the routines are so easy to follow.

Until next time xx
